Tee off for Breast Cancer Research Charity Golf Day

On Thursday 7 September the Club hosted a Ladies’ Tee off for Breast Cancer Research Charity Golf Day.  This is the second year the event has been held on The Pines golf course and the ladies enjoyed a beautiful day of golf while raising vital funds for the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia (BCIA).

Members and their guests dressed up in pink and competed in a fun 2-Person Ambrose event.  Trainee Professional Sam Price was on course assisting the ladies with tips on the tee.  Sam dressed up in an all pink outfit including nail polish and zinc which raised over $800.  The field of 72 players were greeted with a glorious spring day and a delicious lunch followed in Lakeview Bar.  Whilst the day was mostly about raising awareness and vital funds for a worthy cause, the days competition was hotly contested.
The ladies were fortunate to have a special guest speaker, Lynda Alexander, who spoke about her own experience with breast cancer and educated the ladies about BCIA.

Congratulations to Glenda Harry and Judy McDonald who took home first prize with a superb score of 63.25 to be one shot winners from Karron McComb and Marian Towler.  Best Dressed awards went to Elaine Goodes, Liya Chan, Jessica Wang and Vivian Hu.

We would like to thank all the ladies for participating in the event, the Club appreciates your support.  The event raised $3764 for BCIA.
